Volunteer Application
Thank you for your interest in becoming a North Lawndale College Prep volunteer. While we aim to make this process as straightforward as possible, we also recognize our high level of responsibility for the well-being of our students.
As such, we require an application prior to allowing individuals to volunteer with our school community. Once you’ve completed the application, you’ll be able to register for volunteer opportunities within 24hrs of submission. Please check your email periodically for next steps.
We offer two different levels of volunteer involvement and commitment:
Level 1 Volunteers require a background check. Examples of Level I Volunteers include:
– Overnight field trip chaperones
– Mentors
– Tutors
– Coaches
– Non-supervised classroom assistants
Level 2 Volunteers do not require background check. Examples of Level II Volunteers include:
– Day field trip chaperones
– Assistants in schools with administrative duties
– Other volunteer activities in contact with students while supervised
Volunteer Application
After completing the volunteer application, you will receive immediate access to the background check form, confidentiality agreement and upcoming volunteer opportunities.
